The Band

Hickory is a New Jersey–based folk-rock band with a sound shaped by the storytelling grit of Tyler Childers, the warmth of Caamp, and the timeless songcraft of Tom Petty and The Beatles. Anchored by guitar, mandolin, and banjo, the band has built a loyal following at clubs and festivals across the region, including the NJ Folk Festival and Mystic River Jams. This summer, Hickory hits the road across the Northeast in support of their third album, Firefly, released June 20, 2026.

The Band:
Rob Friedland — Vocals & Guitar
Dave Foschino — Vocals, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin
Dan Rainey — Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Sitar
Ted Rainey — Vocals, Bass
Matt Nalducci — Vocals, Drums

Each member brings years of experience from the indie music scene, and together they've channeled that history into something new. Three albums in two years is no small feat — and Hickory is just getting started, carving out their own corner of the stomp-rock landscape one record at a time.

BC The Mag calls Hickory "the most down-home Jersey rock served right," while The Jersey Sound praises the band for being "as close in spirit and chemistry as a single entity can be." Stream their growing catalogue wherever you listen to music, and catch Hickory live this season.
